    P3A Supports Santa’s Anonymous

    P3A was proud to support Santa's Anonymous this year. The initiative between Z99 and the Salvation Army ensures over 4,500 children receive a new toy for Christmas. Thanks to P3A staff who donated toys and money, the P3A elves who shopped and delivered the toys, and to JCK Engineering, Brownlee Beaton Kreke, ALFA Engineering, and MacPherson Engineering who also contributed.

    P3A Welcomes Vanessa Komarnicki

    Vanessa joins P3A as our Office Administrator. Vanessa brings over 15 years of experience in an administrative role and she previously worked in a leadership role at a large law firm in Regina. She delights in providing excellent customer service and goes above and beyond to ensure all clients and guests of the firm are warmly welcomed. In her down time, Vanessa likes to spend time with her family, bake, camp, and spend time outdoors.

    P3A Welcomes Neda Khaksar

    Neda is a foreign educated and trained architect who is following her architectural journey in Canada. She completed her PhD in Architecture from the Art University of Isfahan in Iran in June 2020. Her dissertation explored the role of artificial lighting in the process of creating pleasure in space design. Prior to that, she received her Master of Architectural Engineering degree from Tarbiat Modares University with a focus on using smart materials in building design. Her experience with smart materials and lighting has given her a solid foundation for form, colour, and materials in architectural design. 

    Neda has experience teaching architecture and working in different architectural firms. She has a love for travel, delicacies, and fitness.

    Darke Hall Wins Heritage Award

    Darke Hall won a CAHP / ACECP Award of Merit in Conservation in Architecture. CAHP is a professional organization that serves qualified heritage professionals in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

    The Darke Hall project was led by P3A and included Donald Luxton as Heritage Consultant. The revitalization of the interior prioritized historic restoration of many character defining elements and ensured all modifications were considerate to the original architecture of the building. Several existing features were restored such as refurbishment of doors, plaster, decorative paint, and existing light fixtures.

    Conexus Credit Union Head Office Wins Gold MASI Award

    P3A was awarded a Gold MASi Award for the Conexus Credit Union Head Office project. The Awards recognize the work completed by members of the Professional Interior Designers Institute of Manitoba, Interior Designers of Alberta (IDA), and Interior Designers Association of Saskatchewan (IDAS). 
    The project won gold in the category for “Office over $80 per foot.”
    The 80,000 square foot head office is contemporary and “of its time” while drawing inspiration from the historic collegiate gothic buildings of the original adjacent College Avenue Campus. A first of its kind in the province, the planning of this office was based on the agile workplace model. The address-free design plan came together through a highly collaborative effort.

    New Home for P3A in 2023

    Located at 2222 13th Avenue, this will be the future home of P3A! We recently acquired the building with the plan to occupy two floors. The project is currently underway, and our move is aimed for January of 2023. In a nice coincidence, the building was designed by P3A’s original founder Joseph Pettick.

    Darke Hall Grand Re-Opening

    P3A staff attended the Grand Re-Opening of Darke Hall. P3A worked with the University of Regina to restore the theatre with a focus on improving patron and performer experiences, enhancing theatrical systems, and providing accessibility throughout the building.

    Darke Hall can once again take its place as an iconic and beloved heritage theatre.
